Resilient Dunescape

By introducing dunes and dynamic topography that guide stormwater through the site and lifting the house 12’ above sea level, Resilient Dunescape responds to the inevitability of sea level rise by utilizing natural processes as inspiration to embrace flooding in the design. The plant palette includes native and adaptive plant species which tolerate a range of soil, light, and microclimatic conditions.

Erie Street Plaza

Erie Street Plaza is a flexible social space that can accommodate large gatherings and day-to-day activities, built on sustainable design principles. It is one of a series of public space activators along the Milwaukee Riverwalk, a three-mile pedestrian and bicycle corridor that connects downtown Milwaukee to the emerging and redeveloping Third Ward and Beerline Districts, and to the lakefront beyond.
