Play Land at Serravalle Designer Outlet

Carve imagined a small, vibrant village that is scaled down to a child’s size, designed to spark curiosity in both young and adults. From the outset, our team took a multi-age approach to the design, resulting in a one-of-a kind play village built from clusters of hexagonal plateaus and towers, where kids can explore and move from one tower to the next in a winding maze. Europaallee 21

Between the dominant urban spaces of Europaalle and Lagerstrasse, there is a courtyard that discreetly blends into the fabric of the public spaces of the new city district. Alleyways cut through the compact block and intertwine with the stone carpets that lead out to the surrounding boulevards. Sweeping archway entrances lead into the courtyard and act as gates between two worlds with completely different mechanics.
