Project Description
This ¼ mile long, 2.5 acre linear park runs along the edge of the Fox River and connects a regional network of bike and pedestrian trails with downtown Green Bay.
The design inventively integrates sustainable stormwater, material, and lighting strategies; it reorients downtown to the riverfront and creates a flexible space for civic gatherings; and frames opportunities for new development while creating an entirely new image for the City of Green Bay. In addition, CityDeck was designed to withstand a 100 year flood. Custom benches in a variety of seating profiles serve dual purposes becoming flood protection barriers and concealed drainage during storm surges.
