Erie Street Plaza

Erie Street Plaza is a flexible social space that can accommodate large gatherings and day-to-day activities, built on sustainable design principles. It is one of a series of public space activators along the Milwaukee Riverwalk, a three-mile pedestrian and bicycle corridor that connects downtown Milwaukee to the emerging and redeveloping Third Ward and Beerline Districts, and to the lakefront beyond.

For over two thousand years, scholars have put in ink hundreds and thousands of poems and paintings appreciating this particular flower.

Central Park

Urban planning for Sant Cugat del Vallès Central Park focuses on two main themes: a central strip which contains the green zone and protects the stream and the road’s adjustment and construction considering the place’s morphology. Hence, the park’s design takes into account the small valley’s topography on which it stands, its agricultural character and the strong social pressure that its future urban immersion entails.

Igualada Central Park

Igualada Central Park will be the largest free space in the city and will give continuity to the Green Belt, linking the urban area with the natural surroundings of the stream. This project is an interesting example of how by concentrating interventions at strategic points and thinking about a sustainable construction and maintenance system, a space without identity has been transformed into a new multipurpose space at the service of citizens.

An image of landscape architecture project Frederik Hendrikplantsoen, by design firm Carve, in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Showing an elevated play tunnel in a park setting

Frederik Hendrikplantsoen

Carve connects the three planned playzones by introducing an iconic ‘air bridge’, that is oriented in the opposite direction to the path system below. Because a large part of the playzone is elevated, as little space as possible is absorbed by the playzones, hence introducing an interesting interaction between the playing children and people who take a stroll underneath the object.
